MASSAGE THERAPY

There are many styles and traditions of massage out there. Mine is a hybrid of Swedish massage and a Chinese system of bodywork called Tui Na. Swedish is what most people think about when it comes to massage. It is known for its long, flowing strokes generally toward the heart and used for both relaxation and therapeutic treatments.

Tui Na is the bodywork style of choice within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), commonly used in conjunction with acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion.

It uses invigorating techniques that employ the hands, palms, fingers, knuckles, arms, and elbows to work on specific acupuncture points and meridians. The combined result allows me to tailor an individual’s treatment to both their need and comfort level.
